Community Guidelines

These Community Guidelines describe the behavior expected on The Classifieds.
1. Start with real intent
The Classifieds is for people who want to post, browse, and respond with care. Use the service for honest local connection, not for spam, manipulation, or volume-based attention.
2. Be respectful
Treat other users with basic respect. Do not harass, threaten, shame, intimidate, demean, or pressure people through posts, profiles, messages, reports, or any other part of the service.
3. Be honest about yourself and your posts
Do not impersonate another person, misrepresent your identity, mislead users about your intentions, post explicit images, or use the service for scams.
4. Keep posts appropriate for the platform
Posts should fit the purpose of The Classifieds: thoughtful personal classifieds for local connection. Do not post illegal offers, commercial spam, explicit solicitation, scams, unsafe requests, or content that undermines the safety or tone of the platform.
5. Use messages with care
Private replies should be relevant to the post and respectful of the person receiving them. Do not send repeated unwanted messages, aggressive follow-ups, explicit content without consent, or attempts to move someone off-platform through pressure.
6. Respect boundaries
If someone does not respond, closes a conversation, declines, blocks you, or asks for space, respect that boundary. Do not create new accounts, new posts, or new conversations to bypass another user's choice.
7. No hate or targeted abuse
Do not post or send content that attacks, dehumanizes, excludes, or threatens people based on identity, background, protected characteristics, or personal circumstances.
8. No exploitation or harm
Do not use The Classifieds to exploit, endanger, coerce, blackmail, stalk, dox, or otherwise harm another person. Do not share private information about someone without permission.
9. No illegal activity
Do not use The Classifieds to promote, arrange, request, or facilitate illegal activity. This includes illegal goods, illegal services, fraud, threats, violence, and other unlawful conduct.
10. Photos and profile content
Use photos and profile content that you have the right to use and that accurately represent you. Do not upload misleading, stolen, abusive, explicit, or non-consensual images.
11. Safety tools
Reports, blocks, and conversation controls are there to help users manage their experience. Do not abuse these tools, file false reports, or use safety features to harass or retaliate against another person.
12. Moderation
We may remove content, limit features, suspend accounts, place reported posts in review, or take other action when we believe these Guidelines, the Terms of Service, or the spirit of The Classifieds have been violated.
13. Offline safety
The Classifieds does not control offline interactions. Use your own judgment when deciding whether to meet someone, where to meet, what to share, and how to protect your safety.
14. Updates
These Guidelines may be updated as the platform grows. When we update them, we will revise the Last updated date above.
