The Classifieds is a slower social platform for posting, browsing, and responding to local personal classifieds.
1. Acceptance
These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of The Classifieds. By creating an account, posting a classified, replying to another user, or otherwise using the service, you agree to these Terms.
2. 18+ Eligibility
The Classifieds is intended only for people who are 18 years of age or older. By creating an account, completing a profile, posting, replying, or otherwise using the service, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old.
3. Account Registration
You agree to provide accurate account information and to keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for activity that occurs through your account.
4. Public Information
Some profile information and classified posts may be visible to other users. Do not post personal details that you do not want others to see.
5. Posts
You are responsible for the classifieds you create. Posts should be honest, lawful, respectful, and aligned with the purpose of the service. Explicit images, explicit sexual content, harassment, threats, scams, unsafe requests, and unlawful content are not allowed.
6. Messages
Messages are intended for respectful, private communication between users. Do not harass, threaten, impersonate, spam, pressure other users, or send unwanted explicit content.
7. Prohibited Conduct
You may not use The Classifieds to break the law, exploit or harm others, post misleading or abusive content, collect user information without permission, interfere with the service, or attempt to bypass safety features.
8. Moderation, Reports, and Blocks
The Classifieds may provide tools to report, block, hide, or close conversations. Reported posts may be placed in review and hidden from public Browse, search, profile, embed, and ad-detail surfaces until a moderator reviews them. We may remove content, restrict access, or suspend accounts when appropriate.
9. Offline Interactions
The Classifieds does not control and is not responsible for users' offline conduct. You are responsible for your own judgment, safety, meetings, communications, and interactions with other users.
10. No Background Checks
The Classifieds does not conduct background checks, identity verification, or screening of users. We do not guarantee the identity, intentions, conduct, or statements of any user.
11. Content License
You keep ownership of content you submit. By posting or uploading content, you grant The Classifieds a limited license to host, display, store, reproduce, and use that content as needed to operate, secure, moderate, and improve the service.
12. Privacy
Your use of The Classifieds is also governed by the Privacy Policy available at https://theclassifieds.social/privacy.
13. Suspension and Termination
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate access to The Classifieds if we believe you have violated these Terms, created risk for other users, or used the service in a way that undermines the platform.
14. Account Deletion
You may initiate account deletion using available in-app or web tools. Some information may remain if needed for safety, legal, backup, fraud-prevention, moderation, dispute-resolution, or platform integrity reasons.
15. Disclaimers
The Classifieds is provided as is and as available. We do not guarantee that the service will always be secure, uninterrupted, or error-free.
16. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, The Classifieds and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for user conduct online or offline.
17. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the Last updated date above. Continued use of The Classifieds after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
